Terms of Service

Welcome to GuildVault. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GuildVault website, Discord bot, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by GuildVault ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using GuildVault, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
• You have a valid Discord account in good standing
• You have the authority to bind yourself to these Terms
• Your use complies with Discord's Terms of Service

2. Description of Service

GuildVault provides guild management tools for gaming communities, including but not limited to:

• Stockpile and inventory tracking
• Guild bank management
• Roster and event organization
• Crafting request coordination
• Member activity tracking
• Discord bot integration

The Service is designed primarily for Ashes of Creation guilds but may be used by any Discord community.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Discord Authentication

We use Discord OAuth2 for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

3.2 Guild Ownership

The Discord server owner or designated administrators are considered the guild "owners" within GuildVault. Guild owners have full control over their guild's data and settings.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 You Agree To:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Provide accurate information
• Respect other users and their data
• Comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• Keep your access credentials secure

4.2 You Agree Not To:

• Attempt to access other users' or guilds' data without authorization
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to exploit, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service (except our official bot)
• Circumvent any access restrictions or rate limits
• Use the Service for any illegal activities
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Upload malicious content or attempt to inject code

5. User Content

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (guild data, configurations, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a license to store, process, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

5.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content submitted through your account or guild. We do not monitor or endorse user content. Content that violates these Terms or applicable laws may be removed without notice.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Free Tier

GuildVault offers a free tier with limited features. Free tier access may be modified or discontinued at our discretion with reasonable notice.

6.2 Paid Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Prices may change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

6.3 Refunds

Refunds may be provided at our discretion for:

• Service outages lasting more than 48 hours
• Billing errors
• Requests within 7 days of initial purchase (new subscriptions only)

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by GuildVault and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

7.2 Third-Party Rights

Ashes of Creation and related marks are property of Intrepid Studios. Discord and related marks are property of Discord Inc. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.

8. Disclaimers

We specifically disclaim:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of guild data
• Any guarantee of uptime or availability
• Any responsibility for data loss due to user error

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GUILDVAULT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Any damages resulting from third-party actions

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GuildVault, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you submit to the Service

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To request deletion of your data, contact us or use the /delete-my-data command.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Conduct harmful to other users or the Service
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Technical or security reasons

We will attempt to provide notice before termination except in cases of severe violations or legal requirements.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via:

• Notice on the website
• Announcement in our Discord server
• Email (if provided)

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal remedies.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
